Top Ten Products Unveiled at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show

Hey there, welcome to another episode of Tips & Tech Talk. I am your host Ron, owner and operator of a Metro Detroit Video Marketing Firm, Ron Robinson Studios. And today we’re going to take a look back at last week’s CES in Las Vegas. The Consumer Electronics Show held annually in January in Las Vegas this past year did not disappoint. 8K and 5G were probably the most overused phrases at this year’s conference, because well let’s face it, televisions, laptops, smart phones – all the sizzle at this past CES. But I want to look deeper than that. I want to say hey, the TVs, smartphones, laptops – very cool technology but what about some of the other stuff?

And so today I want to take a look at what I think are the top ten best new products that were unveiled at the CES in 2019. Most of these products I’m going to discuss are prototype and not yet ready for the public. That said, here, in my opinion, are the top ten best new products from CES 2019.

Number ten is the Optimolator. This is a smart boot for diabetics for foot ulcerations. A lot of people will have a better quality of life because of this boot if it comes to pass. I’m very excited about number ten.

Number nine: Heatworks. Heatworks is a countertop dishwasher that requires no plumbing. No water needed. It washes your dishes; quite amazing.

Number eight is quite fascinating. This will be available very soon to the public. Number eight, Ovis is an autonomous AI suitcase. That’s right, it’s an AI suitcase. It uses sensors and obstacle avoidance to avoid any kind of collision. This carry-on bag will sell for $799. I don’t know who would pay $799 for a carry-on, but if you’re looking for an AI autonomous walks itself suitcase, the Ovis – look for that.

Number seven comes out of Benton Harbor. Whirlpool has introduced a smart oven with a display that shows meal prep steps, among other cool features. The last couple of years smart homes have been all the rage, so you’re going to see a lot more appliances communicating with each other, not just through television and Alexa.

Number six is the LG Signature TV OLED system. What makes this unique is that it rolls up when you’re not using it. So if you’re not watching TV it just rolls right up. You can’t even see it.

Number five is a cool little contraption. This captures biological waste and converts into usable biogas. So a very good product right there, very good for the environment.

Number four might appeal to a lot of restaurant owners. Number four is the Wilkinson Bread Box. This is a very cool product. This bakes ten loaves of bread every hour. The best part is all you have to do is put in the dough, and in an hour you have ten loaves of bread. The Bread Box takes it, bakes it, and then stores it for you and it sits there waiting for you to serve.

Number three. Number three is the Artemis Mirror. This is an interactive mirror … I talked earlier about homes being smart, smart homes. Well now, this is a prototype, this is the Artemis Mirror with a patent pending operating system called CARE. When you look in the mirror with this product, it has many cool features like it can run an eye test and capture your vision. Lot of other cool, personal, interesting applications available through this smart mirror. But this smart mirror will interact with you through voice control and hand gestures.

Number two, I’m very excited about number two. It’s going to save some lives, no question. Number two is Alpinestars. These are inflatable riding jackets that contain air bag technology for motorcycle riders. So if you’re riding a bike you’re wrapped around air bag technology. So I love that, that’s going to save a lot of lives.

And now without further ado, my number one best new product unveiled at 2019 CES … drum roll … all right, no drum roll? The Bell Nexus Autonomous Helicopter. Yes, it’s a drone, kind of. Number one is the Bell Nexus Autonomous Helicopter. This has six rotors and it carries four passengers. This drone will be able to be operated by a pilot that’s not on this quad, carrying up to four people. This is going to be another life changer, a life saver, if this comes to fruition.

So another use for this type of quad; can you say Uber? Some say by the mid-2020’s we’re going to see these six-bladed quad copters seating up to four passengers flying through the air. So Uber, emergency response teams, this technology is getting quite extraordinary.
