Hey there and welcome to another episode of Tips & Tech Talk. I am your host, Ron. We’re on location today with C.C. Maciejewski from Mortgage One. We’re going to be talking about 5 styles of videos that every realtor should be creating. Now, the reason I’m here with you, C.C. is because you make videos and you understand the importance video marketing for Michigan realtors.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

C.C. Maciejewski:

Well, what I do in regards to marketing for Mortgage One is get our message out. I like to show and create value and education for our past clients, our current clients and our future clients.

Ron Robinson:

So you know, you understand how important video is for Michigan realtors.  I’ve always said, you know the real estate industry is such an enigma for most people. They don’t understand it. A realtor can go on and education people and it makes them an expert. Plus, it’s like selling without selling and I think that’s the most effective kind of video we’re going to make.

C.C. Maciejewski:

I agree.

Ron Robinson:

So, the five videos that every realtor should be making…

#1 Video Style for Michigan Realtors: Lead Response Videos

These are short little videos that can be automatically sent out in a response email. It lets a would be client know that you’ve got their info and you will respond in person as soon as you can.

C.C. Maciejewski:

Building that immediate trust, and I think that word is huge – immediate. You create that value. When someone wants to connect with you via business, if you’re not available right there in the moment, you can shoot that video back. If it’s instant messenger, email or any other form of communication that you are funneling those leads to.

#2 Video Style for Michigan Realtors: Educational Videos

Ron Robinson:

These types of videos allow you to explain the latest in what’s happening in the real estate market. Are rates up, are rates down, is there a bubble coming? Answer commonly asked questions or produce weekly or monthly market updates. These styles of videos are great because it sets up apart as an expert.

C.C. Maciejewski:

Q & A videos are vital to our team. For our past clients, current clients, and our future. And I keep listing past, current, and future because this just stretches across a whole spectrum. And to me, this is huge.

When we have Q & A, a past client may have questions. A current client who is a prospect looking for us, and they see our videos, on Facebook, on YouTube, on our website, they can relate to us and we generate that lead- and it’s already a stronger connection. Then for future clients, when someone is searching out for the future we’ve already connected with them more on a virtual level that has created the trust that we want to show our clients.

Ron Robinson:

One of my favorite type of educational video is the type of video that is like a neighborhood info video. So whatever neighborhood, you, as a realtor serve, make little videos. What’s the best schools, what’s the best restaurants in the area, dry cleaners etc. This is all neighborhood info that is vital for a young family moving into a new neighborhood. So this is just other way to set yourself apart.

C.C. Maciejewski:

This type of educational video: they’re fast, they’re easy and they’re fun. It shows who you are as a person. Not sitting behind a desk, not putting a sign on a yard, it actually connects one on one of who you are as a person. So I think that easy, quick and fun marketing will help boost your business.

#3 Video Style for Michigan Realtors: Testimonial Videos

Ron Robinson:

When people ask you what kind of videos do I need? The answer is testimonial videos, testimonial videos, testimonial videos. These videos go a long way in increasing your client list because no matter what business you’re in, testimonial videos have proven time and time again to be the most effective marketing videos a business or realtor can produce.

C.C. Maciejewski:

Absolutely, and once again, it has your viewer connect with you on that vulnerable level when they see other people giving you recognition. And I think in our industry for real estate, the best testimonial is a referral. And when you see other people saying that, and these are the clients that you’ve worked with for hours, sometimes, 80 hours on one person, this is huge.

Ron Robinson:

This is a great way to get your clients to brag about you on camera. You might be saying, how do I do this? Have a customer appreciation day. This is very cool because it not only shows you appreciate us them, but it makes them want to return the favor. If you ask them you’ll do a testimonial, they are going to sing your raises and there is no better advertising to me than somebody bragging about who you are.

C.C. Maciejewski:

Absolutely, I think having past clients who you worked so many hours will actually be able to turn around and say, “I like them and I like them for these reasons”.

#4 Video Style for Michigan Realtors: Property Tour of an Open House

There is no better way to showcase your listing than actually showcasing your listing with video. Whether you do it through a video or go live, you can showcase your listing, say on the day of an open house before the open house and it creates interest. Plus, it gives an opportunity for someone who might not be able to come to your open house to see what your listing is all about. Property tour and open house videos are invaluable to realtors today.

C.C. Maciejewski:

I see that commonly with a lot of our real estate agents that we personally work with. And what’s fun about this, when you put it online and you expose the house, just like what Ron said, you will let someone see it virtually if they are not able to come. Also, from my perspective, I actually like to take these videos and I know other people who would like to share your videos and help boost your business.

Why not, use a video for an open house so people can share your video as well so potential clients can see this beautiful house.

Ron Robinson:

And I especially think more relators should be taking advantage of going live because it allows you to answer questions in real time.

#5 Video Style for Michigan Realtors: Personal Video Invite

Much like a property Tour video, these types of videos are very personal.

C.C. Maciejewski:

When I use my videos, I open myself up and expose who I am, and who our company is and what our culture is. And I think that’s extremely important. So when I have a message about an event, I get on Facebook Live, I create pre-recorded videos. There is a certain format that I use between live recorded and I think it’s beneficial. It shows you who you are as a person. It creates that trust.

Ron Robinson:

All five of these styles of videos are very easy to create and don’t take a lot of time.

C.C. Maciejewski:

Just press record and go – Facebook live, record that video just do it.

Ron Robinson:

And don’t worry about your hims and your has because that’s – natural.

C.C. Maciejewski:

That’s who you are.

Ron Robinson:

And then if your him and you ha …

C.C. Maciejewski:

You learn from it.

Ron Robinson:

And then you can edit that out.
