Local Video Marketing Firm Reviews Best Camera Products in 2018

Well today we’re going to look back, one more time, at 2018 as we announce the best products of the year according to Videomaker Magazine.

Hey there, welcome to another episode of Tips and Tech Talk. I am your host Ron owner and operator of a local video marketing firm. While we traverse our way through another bipolar Michigan winter, way over on the other side of the country in sunny and warm Las Vegas this week they’re having the CES Conference, and if you don’t know, that’s where they unveil the latest and greatest in technology.

But today, I want to talk about some products that were unveiled at last year’s CES. Many of which, were last year unveiled at CES because we’re going talk about the best products that were released in 2018. There were seven criteria they had. Effectiveness, ease of operation, affordability, quality, innovation, dependability and performance. So they took all these under consideration when they announced, what they thought, were the best camera products of 2018.

Now these are not the best product of all time. These are just products that were released in the calendar year 2018. So without further ado, let’s get started.

The best lens according to Videomaker Magazine is the Cannon RF50 mm. Now keep in mind that Cannon sells three versions of the 50 mm, I have the little brother, the F 1.8. It takes excellent photographs as well but the latest ship on the block sells for over $1,000 and when you buy that lens and you see what that lens can do you see where that extra money goes.

The best microphone according to Videomaker Magazine, the Sennheiser EWG4 100 series. This is a wireless mic system and it has a new interface with 12 compatible frequencies, so a very good quality microphone.

The best advanced camera support system, well little doubt if you’ve been watching any YouTube videos. You see them everywhere, the DJI Ronan S. If you have this gimbal it will definitely increase the product value of any video whether you have image stabilization on your lens or not, that DJI Ronan S, top shelf.

The best drone went to the DJI Mavic Pro 2 the 1″ sensor, this provides 10-bit video, high speed pixel count, you’re going to get great video, you’re going to get great photographs. They also offer the Mavic 2 Zoom and the Mavic 2 Enterprise. If you’re interested in a drone you want to take a look at the Mavic 2 Pro.

The best interchangeable lens camera under $1,000, you’ve heard me talk about this camera before here, was the Cannon EOS M50. This shoots 4K, 60 frames per second, has five access image stabilization. My friend Cici has this camera and she loves it for video. This camera is an excellent starter camera and it’s a good price. You’re not going to find a better camera for video, for the price of the Cannon M50. So you might want to check that out.

The best hybrid camera that’s over $1,000 is the Sony A73, this camera is getting rave reviews as an all start. Arguably the best full framed camera on the market today. The Sony A73 captures 4K, also shoots 1080 at 120 frames per second for those looking for silky smooth slow motion video, you might want to look into the Sony A73, phenomenal full frame camera.

The best fixed lens video is the Sony HXR-NX80, there’s a lot of bells and whistles on this camcorder. This camcorder includes the ability to shoot and log up to 100 megabits a second. If you’re looking for something that’s high quality and it’s going to be durable and treat you good, you’re going to look at the Sony HXR-NX80. I don’t think you can go wrong.

So if you want complete list and all the reviews of the Videomaker’s best products of 2018 I invite you to go over to videomaker.com and if you’re into video I highly recommend you subscribe to this publication.
